Bowling!!

So we finally took Carter bowling. We've been wanting to take him for awhile. I guess we never got around to it till now. We went to Fat Cats in Ogden. That's a fun place. They have all sorts of stuff there. We helped him the first few times. Then of course he wanted to do it himself. We got 2 games but by the second he just wanted to sit and eat his pizza. It was cute.

We played some mini golf too. But Carter didn't seem to into it. But he loved playin the arcade games with us.

Yes we are pregnant! I'm sure everyone knows this already but I figured I'd make it blog official.
I figured I would talk about what we saw at the Dr. today. Obviously we saw a little pee pee! I'm 17 weeks now but even when we went in last and I was 13 weeks the Dr. thought he saw it but I was still to early to say 100%. But we saw it again today!! So Carter gets a little brother! We are way excited.
So I'm sure there will be more post in the fuure about me gettin more fat and more tired. But lovin it!

Content or just Lame?

So this weekend Joel surprised me with a night away just us 2. I ask the question Content or just lame cuz of what we did. Let me explain.....Joel told me to not make any apts for work on fri or sat cuz he had something planned. We went down to his parents to drop off Carter then off to our hotel. He took me to the hotel Monacco in downtown Salt Lake. And he told me we could do whatever I wanted that night. Joel and I have been renting a t.v series on dvd and watching episodes whenever Carter goes down for bed. Here's why I'm not sure if I'm just happy and content or lame. Cuz of all the places I could choose to go for dinner I chose Chili's (even though Joel said don't worry about the cost). And instead of going out anywhere I wanted to go after dinner I chose to go to the store, get some junk food and watch the tv series in our hotel!! That is really all I wanted to do. So I'm just struggling with the thought that I might be turning into a really lame person. Does having kids do this to everyone? Please say it does. But I need to say thanks to Joel cuz he also signed me up for a massage the next day. So i got to go out to breakfast after sleeping in then go get a massage. So I loved this weekend! I'm just worried I'm lame. What do ya think?

Playin in the snow

Every New Years Day my family goes up to our cabin and goes sledding. Carter got a couple sleds for Christmas so we were excited to use them. It was way fun. We had lunch before and hot chocolate after. Carter had so much fun! Carter's fav. part was standing behind this wall kinda thing that Joel built so the kids wouldn't run into a tree. Carter would stand by it and throw snow at everyone as they would pass by. He thought it was so funny.

Funny Story- So awhile ago the 1st time it snowed we were so excited to go out and build a snowman. Little did we know the snow sucked for building a snowman. We talked it up so much with Carter we couldn't just give up so we tried so hard (well mostly Joel) to make this sad excuse of a snowman. It was funny Carter kept calling it a baby snowman. That's him looking at it probably thinkin my parents suck =)

So much happened around Christmas. We went to my family on Christmas eve and had a dinner and did all the fun stuff we do on Christmas eve. Then Christmas morning we did our thing at our house and went to Joel's parents for breakfast. Nate got to call this year so back to my parents house we went so we could hear from him. Which was a highlight of this Christmas. Anyways I wasn't even going to post any pics cuz we had to many and I didn't even know where to start but when I saw this one I couldn't resist. This is the face Carter pulled when he came around the corner and saw all the presents under the tree. Priceless! You can tell how much fun we had this year just by the look on his face!!

Cristmas Lights and Christmas Tree's

Well every year I get all these cute Christmas cards in the mail. I just got 4 more today. And every year I feel bad I don't send one out. So I'm sayin Merry Christmas and We love you to everyone on this. I know it's lame so maybe I'll get my act together next year and send one out.
But thanks to everyone that's sent my fam one

Anyways the Christmas lights in Layton are awesome! Anyone that live's around Layton I strongly suggest you go see them. Of course is was cold but worth it. This is me and Carter (if you can't see us) in front of the train.

So we went to go get our Christmas tree the other day. Carter had fun playin in all the trees. I was just cold and wanted to pick one quick.

It was cute he just followed Joel around pretending he knew what he was lookin for.

Decorating the tree was interesting. In about 2 secs Carter and I both broke a class ball. You can't really get mad at your kid when you just barely broke one to. But we got through it.

And Carter's favorite thing to do these days is to sit and watch his train. The only way we can get him to stop watching or not start in the 1st place is to say the train is sleeping. He's so freakin cute!

Well I hope everyone is enjoying this fun time of year even though it can be busy!!

Twilight!

On Fri. me and some of the girls from my family went to go see Twilight! We've all read the books and were excited to go. I know there are some mixed feelings out there about the movie but we all really liked it. I know I'm going to see it again. After the movie we all went out to eat and talked about all the difference's between the book and movie. It was way fun. And I have to give Joel thanks for that night cuz he offered to have all the kids that didn't go to the movie over to the house for a little party of their own. Of course Matt (Sarah's hubby) brought Davis and helped out to. Joel's a stud!!
